Music Roll Slippage

This is another clever solution from Eugene Kuntz. It solves the problem of rewind problems when the cardboard roll is a bit too large and refuses to rewind.

"1/16" dowel about 2" long glued in the cardboard hub. When gluing, take care not to get any glue on paper roll. when the two spool ends are then fit together, the dowel neatly fits between the cross-like splines, and the roll never slips again. Of course, every new roll has to have a dowel glued in."
