Get a better seal on the pressure box
This is great idea submitted by Eugene Kuntz. It is not an unusual occurrence for air to leak from the seal in the pressure box. Eugene improved the design by performing the following modifiction.
"After the proper amount of wood is removed from the lid, a 1/8 " groove is routed longitudinally down the middle of each edge face. The depth is about 1/16". Then a 1/8" dowel is glued into the routed trough. The 2 lid sides have the dowel running the extreme length, and the latch and hinge edges have the dowels fit between the 2 side dowels. (as you see, my friend ran the groove right out the ends, which will require a little filler for cosmetic reasons. I suppose an alternate way would be to use a plunge router, not run out the sides, and miter cut the dowel corners). One layer of 1/8" thick and appropriate width of closed cell weather strip lines the bottom edges of the enclosure."
